made for the receiver and transmitter of the AN/UPN-2
to be monitored visually and aurally. Monitoring permits
personnel to know when the equipment is being
interrogated.  The AN/UPN-2 is interrogated by, and
responds to, various radar equipments on a frequency of
3256 mc.
Receiver-Transmitter RT-73/UPN-2 may be installed
in aircraft.  Antenna AS-171/UP is not suitable for
aircraft installation.
