FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
The AN/APS-2G radar equipment is designed for
presented to the operator on the screen of a cathode-ray
use in heavier-than-air aircraft to aid in the location and
tube indicator. The position of objects with respect to
identification of objects of land and sea, and as an aid in
the heading of the aircraft may also be observed without
navigation during day or night and in all kinds of
calculation, and, in
weather. Distances to objects, in nautical miles, and
direction of objects, within a radius of 100 miles, are
