FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
The ASC and ASC-1 are identical in performance
but different slightly in mechanical construction.
The ASC and ASC-1 are installed in aircraft for use
in the detection of surface vessels at ranges of 4, 20,

provide beacon operation for homing and navigation,
and for operation with IFF equipment.
