The 50ACU controls the rotation speed and direction
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
of the servomotor so that it will follow the rotation of the
antenna and obtain either relative or true bearing
The 55ADP and 50ACU make up a complete PPI

equipment that is used in conjunction with shipboard
50ACU will limit the exploration field of the system to a

sweep. When the ship's 60cycle supply voltage is used,

lubber line; when the gyro compass voltage is used,
indication orientations are with respect to true north.
